CHAMPIONING MILDURA MASTERS GAMES (August 2005)

Mildura Masters Games 2005 is an exciting and varied program of 23 sporting and social highlights held from 12th - 31st Augustb '05. There is an ideal event for all participants - whether action packed events or more social and relaxing get-togethers are preferred, the games have got it covered. While swimming remains most popular, football, soccer, indoor netball, cycling, a duathlon, mountain bike cross country or classic motorcross will raise heart beats, public speaking appointments will test verbal skills, or a game of social petanque will make it easy to unwind – a French game best enjoyed with a glass of wine in hand!

Among the highlights were the fabulous Welcome Party, the official opening by Victorian Governor (and sporting legend) John Landy, AC, MBE, and of course, the many sporting achievements. The Closing Dinner and Social Petanque and Wine Tasting proved a great way to unwind after a fantastic nine days of competition and camaraderie.
