BLOOMIN' BEAUTIFUL IN BURNIE (October 2005)

Bloomin' Tulips! is a week-long festival of sense stimulating events celebrating the flush of spring colour in the small coastal town of Wynyard on the north west coast of Tasmania . The 2005 event is themed "Wishing On A Star" - celebrating and valuing the ideas and creativity of our young people. During Bloomin' Tulips! week you will marvel at the wonderland created by tulips in full bloom along our scenic coast.

You will want to join the fun by riding on the old Steam Carousel on the wharf; or by joining in a workshop on how to arrange tulips to their best advantage or perhaps partake of a Tulip Cocktail; enjoy local art, craft, poetry or music to suit all tastes; experience the magic of an early morning breakfast on Table Cape at the beginning of the week or revel in the magical ANZ Fireworks over the Inglis River at the end of the week; become the new champion in the quirky Tulip Tossing Championships; sample the culinary delights of fresh island produce or just become a local during your brief time at the event.
