Before you use our new web check-in facility, you must read the following & agree to the conditions before proceeding.

 

DANGEROUS GOODS NOT TO BE TAKEN ON BOARD WHETHER AS CHECKED BAGGAGE OR CABIN BAGGAGE

 

  NON-PERMITTED OBJECTS IN HAND/CABIN BAGGAGE

The Passenger is not permitted to carry in his/her cabin baggage or on his/her person such as nail files, scissors, letter openers, pocket knives, etc. Such items must be placed in checked baggage only.
   

 

 

 

WHO CAN CHECK IN?

Only passengers with e-ticket reservations and WITHOUT checked baggage. If there are several passengers in the booking, you can check in only the parties that do not have checked baggage.

Passengers travelling together but with separate reservations will need to repeat the web check-in process for each booking reference.

Those with special requirements must call our Customer Care Centre on 13 17 13 to make arrangements before checking in:

  • infants & unaccompanied minors;
  • elderly/infirmed or wheelchair-bound;
  • those with sensory impairments or medical conditions or travelling with carers;
  • those needing guide dogs/assistance dogs, oxygen or harness, or to transport firearms

Make sure you have a printer to print your boarding pass before you proceed to check online.

   
  WHEN TO CHECK IN?

Web check-in opens 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure and closes 60 minutes prior to scheduled time of departure.
     
 

HAND/CABIN BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

One briefcase and one small bag, each not exceeding: depth 23cm (9in), height 34cm (13in), length 48cm; (19in)

OR

Two small bags, each not exceeding: depth 23cm (9in), height 34cm (13in), length 48cm (19in).

The small bag can be substituted for one suit pack or one garment bag, (non-rigid frame/unfolded), not exceeding: thickness 11cm (4in), width 60cm (24in), length 114cm (45in).

The total weight of hand/cabin baggage must not exceed 7kg for each passenger.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Web-checked passengers with baggage exceeding cabin limits will have their baggage offloaded. Baggage will only be uplifted on the next available flight and it would be the passenger’s responsibility to collect these bags from the airport when they arrive. Excess baggage fees will also be levied if offloaded baggage exceeds 15kg.



     
  IF YOU’RE CONNECTING FROM VIRGIN BLUE WITH CHECK-THROUGH BAGGAGE

This feature is NOT available to you at present. Standard airport check-in is required if travelling with checked baggage that requires transfer between airlines. Please note there is a 60-minute minimum connecting time between Rex & Virgin Blue.
     
  IF YOU’RE CONNECTING TO AN INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

Before boarding the International flight, please make sure each liquid, aerosol or gel container in your hand luggage is 100ml or less and all containers must be sealed in a transparent, one-litre plastic bag. Click here to read more.
   
  CHANGES TO FLIGHT AFTER WEB CHECK-IN

Once you have checked in on the web, you can only make changes to your flight through our Customer Care Centre at 13 17 13. Please note that applicable fare upgrade / admin fee may apply for changes made.

  I have a printer to print the boarding pass
  I do not need special assistance
  I will not be taking Dangerous or Non-permitted goods on board
 
  I understand and accept that I should ensure at the check-in counter before check-in closes that my cabin baggage does not exceed the prescribed limits (total the weight does not exceed 7kg and linear dimensions do not exceed : depth 23cm (9in), height 34cm (13in), length 48cm (19in)) . If cabin baggage is found at the boarding gate to exceed the limits, the baggage will be offloaded and sent on next available flight.
